A collection of ideas from the mind of Adam Boozer
Boozer? Seriously?

aboutpic.jpgYes, my real name is actually Adam Boozer. I am a father, creative thinker, designer, director, editor, philosopher, coder….you’ve heard the story…….jack of all trades master of none.

I began my career in media early, teaching BASIC to my sixth grade class and earning my first money from graphic design by selling computer generated Valentines Day cards in 7th grade. While still in high school I began interning for a local television program, where I gained access and knowledge to the fundamentals of television production.

In the early 90’s I worked as a PA on feature films, large commercial shoots and music videos. I herded goats, hosed down streets, unloaded pallets of frozen chicken, whatever it took to be on the set. After becoming exhausted with production I focused my energy on the post side of film and television where I created a successful career as an Avid Editor. I had the opportunity to work with numerous broadcast, agency and corporate clients ranging from ESPN, Turner Entertainment and The Discovery Channel to BBDO, Fitzgerald & CO and West Wayne to General Electric, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola.

Having always created design and animation elements to support my editorial work, my focus took a turn when I was introduced to a little application called Flash…which at the time had just become version 2. Flash, with its timeline and keyframes, had a similar feel to the Avid Media Composer but with the added dimension of interactivity.

After fully immersing myself in this so-called new media, I formed a boutique shop, Quink, Inc. in 1998 with two other partners. In my new position as business owner, I led my shop in creating groundbreaking works for Arista Records, Shockwave.com, Motorola, NASCAR and numerous other now defunct dot coms.

After the bubble burst, I decided to stay focused on my passion for learning and creating media instead of running a business. As a result, I joined forces with one of my favorite clients at the time, IQ television group, developing the company’s interactive capabilities.

From 2001 to 2007 I served as creative director at IQ and led to the transformation of the company into an industry leader under the new brand IQ interactive. Eventually becoming partner, I had the opportunity to grow the interactive agency from myself to a team of well over 60. I had the pleasure of assembling an award-winning creative team which produced some of the most engaging and highly awarded work in the industry for clients including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Arnold Worldwide, Royal Caribbean, UPS, National Geographic, IBM, Celebrity Cruise Lines, Audi and Showtime.

I’ve worked hard and have been incredibly lucky enough to collaborate with some of the most inspirational clients, designers, programmers, artists, musicians, designers, directors, producers, writers…you name it…in the business. My work has been featured on CNN. I’ve been published in a book and DVD you could actually buy at big bookstores. My opinions and reviews have been featured in numerous online publications. Projects under my creative direction have won everything from Webby Awards to Cyber Lions at Cannes. Now I’m ready for my next chapter.

This past summer my family and I made the transition to living in amazingly beautiful Charleston, SC. The new scenery, amazing new friends and lowcountry lifestyle has enabled me to begin the next phase of my career with a renewed passion and vigor for NEW IDEAS!
